Abuse Policy

This Abuse Policy outlines the rules, restrictions, user responsibilities, and categories of prohibited activities related to access and use of the Codate platform, website, AI-powered trading systems, blockchain investment services, automated analytics tools, and all associated technologies and digital features operated under the Codate brand.

Codate is fully committed to maintaining a secure, transparent, compliant, and trustworthy environment for every user on the platform. Any misuse of platform services, fraudulent conduct, malicious technical activity, violation of applicable laws, or behavior that threatens the safety or integrity of the platform or its users may result in immediate account restrictions, suspension of services, mandatory compliance reporting, or permanent termination of access without prior notice.

Sharing account credentials or granting unauthorized access to platform accounts

Financial & Transaction Abuse:

Engaging in fraudulent transactions, unauthorized payment activity, or deliberate chargeback abuse
Money laundering, terrorist financing, or any other form of illegal financial activity
Attempting to manipulate deposits, withdrawals, account balances, or transaction records
Exploiting promotional campaigns, bonus structures, referral incentives, or loyalty programs

Technical & System Abuse:

Attempting unauthorized access to platform accounts, systems, servers, APIs, databases, or backend infrastructure
Distributing malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, or any form of malicious code through or in connection with the platform
Performing phishing attacks, social engineering attempts, or identity-spoofing operations targeting Codate users or staff
Attempting to bypass, disable, or circumvent platform security systems, authentication procedures, or verification controls
Using unauthorized automated bots, scripts, crawlers, or scraping tools against platform systems
Interfering with platform network stability, server operations, or service availability
Violating intellectual property rights, copyright protections, or proprietary platform technology
Using the platform for any activity prohibited under applicable sanctions, export controls, or international compliance frameworks
Submitting false abuse reports, fabricated security complaints, or fraudulent support requests

3. Security Violations

Any attempt to probe, test, compromise, exploit, or undermine the security of the Codate platform, its underlying infrastructure, its user data systems, or the security posture of individual user accounts is strictly prohibited and may constitute a criminal offense under applicable cybersecurity and computer misuse laws.

Prohibited security-related activities include but are not limited to:

Unauthorized network scanning, port scanning, or infrastructure mapping of Codate systems
Conducting penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, or security audits without explicit prior written authorization from Codate
Executing brute-force login attempts, credential stuffing attacks, or dictionary-based password attacks
Exploiting known or discovered software vulnerabilities to gain unauthorized system access
Executing SQL injection, cross-site scripting, remote code execution, or any other form of injection or payload delivery attack
Conducting distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, volumetric traffic floods, or application-layer attacks targeting Codate infrastructure
Unauthorized scraping, harvesting, or bulk extraction of platform data, user information, or proprietary content
Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to extract source code from Codate software or AI trading systems
Intercepting, monitoring, or tampering with encrypted data transmissions between users and Codate servers

Codate operates continuous automated monitoring and threat detection systems across all platform infrastructure. Suspicious activity is flagged and responded to in real time. All credible security incidents are reviewed by the Codate security team and may be escalated to relevant law enforcement or cybersecurity authorities.

4. Financial Abuse & Fraud Prevention

Codate maintains a robust, multi-layer anti-fraud compliance framework and operates continuous financial monitoring systems specifically designed to identify, flag, investigate, and respond to suspicious, unauthorized, or abusive financial activity across all platform transactions.

The following financial behaviors are considered abusive and are strictly prohibited:

Using payment instruments, cards, bank accounts, or cryptocurrency wallets without lawful authorization
Initiating fraudulent chargebacks, intentional payment reversals, or dispute abuse against legitimate platform transactions
Exploiting transaction processing systems, timing vulnerabilities, or pricing mechanisms for unauthorized financial gain
Depositing, transacting with, or withdrawing funds that originate from criminal, fraudulent, or sanctioned sources
Structuring transactions to evade anti-money laundering detection thresholds or reporting obligations
Creating or operating multiple accounts as part of a coordinated scheme to conduct abusive financial activity
Manipulating, falsifying, or misrepresenting account balances, transaction histories, or trading performance records

Codate reserves the right to place holds on, delay, review, reject, freeze, or permanently suspend any transaction that triggers internal security thresholds, compliance review procedures, or fraud detection alerts. Transaction reviews are conducted at Codate's sole discretion and may not always be disclosed in full detail for security and compliance reasons.

5. Account Responsibilities

Every registered user bears full personal responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality, security, and integrity of their Codate account credentials, login passwords, two-factor authentication devices, recovery codes, and any other authentication or access control methods associated with their account.

As a condition of continued platform access, all users explicitly agree to:

Never share account access credentials with any unauthorized individual, third party, or service
Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information during registration and all subsequent account updates
Maintain current and verified account and identity documentation in accordance with platform requirements
Contact the Codate support team immediately upon discovering or suspecting any unauthorized access, suspicious login activity, or potential security compromise affecting their account
Use the platform exclusively for lawful purposes consistent with these policies and all applicable laws
Take all reasonable steps to secure the devices, networks, and environments used to access the Codate platform

Codate accepts no liability for financial losses, data exposure, or account disruptions that result directly or indirectly from a user's failure to adequately protect their own account credentials, devices, or authentication information.

6. Content & Communication Restrictions

Users interacting with the Codate platform through any channel — including support communications, account submissions, or any platform-connected interface — are prohibited from uploading, transmitting, distributing, or communicating any content that is harmful, deceptive, abusive, threatening, or otherwise in violation of applicable laws or platform policies.

Restricted or prohibited content categories include:

Fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, or manipulative communications of any kind
Threats, intimidation, harassment, bullying, or abusive language directed at Codate staff, other users, or third parties
Unsolicited spam, mass marketing messages, or unauthorized promotional material
Malicious hyperlinks, infected file attachments, or phishing content
False or misleading claims about Codate's operations, products, services, or staff
Illegal, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise harmful content
Content that infringes on third-party intellectual property, privacy rights, or legal protections
Communications designed to facilitate, encourage, or coordinate prohibited activities on or through the platform

Codate reserves the right to review, remove, or restrict any content or communication that violates this policy, with or without prior notice to the user responsible.

7. Monitoring & Enforcement

Codate actively monitors platform activity, user account behavior, technical access patterns, transaction flows, and communication channels to maintain security, detect policy violations, support compliance obligations, and protect the integrity of the platform ecosystem.

Depending on the nature, severity, and frequency of any identified violation, Codate may apply one or more of the following enforcement actions:

Issuing formal warnings or policy violation notices to the user's registered contact details
Applying temporary account feature restrictions or access limitations
Placing holds, delays, or enhanced reviews on pending or future transactions
Suspending account access pending investigation and compliance review
Permanently terminating platform access and closing the associated account
Blocking specific IP addresses, device fingerprints, or geographic access points
Removing abusive, harmful, or policy-violating content from platform systems
Reporting relevant information to law enforcement agencies, financial regulators, cybersecurity authorities, or other competent bodies as required by law
Pursuing civil or criminal legal remedies where warranted by the severity of the violation

Enforcement actions may be implemented immediately and without prior notice where Codate determines that urgent intervention is necessary to protect users, platform integrity, or financial security.

8. Compliance & Legal Cooperation

Codate maintains active cooperation relationships with law enforcement agencies, national and international cybersecurity organizations, financial intelligence units, payment network compliance teams, and applicable regulatory authorities. Codate will provide relevant account, transaction, or technical information to authorized bodies where legally required or where such disclosure is necessary to prevent, investigate, or respond to criminal activity.

Circumstances under which Codate may share information with external authorities include:

10. Limitation of Liability

Codate expressly reserves the right to restrict access, suspend services, withhold transactions, or permanently close accounts involved in abusive, fraudulent, or policy-violating activity without incurring any liability for resulting service interruptions, account limitations, transaction delays, or loss of access to platform features.

Users remain fully and solely responsible for all actions conducted through their registered accounts or using devices associated with their account access. Codate accepts no liability for losses, damages, or legal consequences arising from a user's violation of this Abuse Policy, applicable law, or any other platform policy.

Where enforcement actions are applied in response to compliance requirements or ongoing investigations, Codate may be legally restricted from disclosing full details of the reasons for such actions.

11. Policy Updates & Revisions

Codate reserves the right to update, expand, revise, or modify this Abuse Policy at any time to reflect changes in platform operations, evolving cybersecurity threats, new regulatory requirements, advances in fraud prevention technology, or improvements to platform security procedures and compliance frameworks.
